
How to Get a DC General Contractor License in Washington, D.C.
If you hold a DC General Contractor license (officially called a DC General Contractor/Construction Manager License), you are authorized to perform construction, remodeling, renovation, repair, and improvement work on residential and commercial properties in Washington, DC.
With this license, you can manage and perform work that includes:

New construction (homes, commercial buildings, additions)

Interior and exterior renovations (kitchens, bathrooms, full build-outs)
